Picking up where the first film left us, the world is now aware that millionaire businessman Tony Stark is superhero Iron Man. Stark faces constant pressure from the US government to share his powerful technology but he won’t share it as he’s aware that in the wrong hands, it could be lethal. The government are the least of Mr Stark’s worries as he faces deadly competition from Whiplash aka Ivan Vanko the bitter son of a Russian scientist. The film also sees the return of reliable Pepper Pots and Lt. Colonel James Rhodes who finds himself the owner of his own iron man body suit. Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., along with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Liev Schreiber wants to wear high heels to work. The Taking Woodstock actor has joked he is envious of his partner of four years, Naomi Watts – who he two children with – because she dresses up in glamorous outfits when she appears on the big screen. The 42-year-old star is currently rehearsing for A View from the Bridge Broadway show, where he will star alongside Scarlett Johansson – who is married to Ryan Reynolds. When asked if it is awkward to be busier than their partners, Scarlett quipped: “I don’t think Naomi is going for the same roles as Liev!” When Liev confessed to wanting “a couple of roles she’s played,” Scarlett jokingly suggested it was so he could “wear the heels and the jewellery.” Liev confirmed: “Yeah!”
Scarlett Johansson felt “so sorry” for the stuntmen in her upcoming movie Iron Man 2 — because they couldn’t go to the toilet! The actress — who wears a skin-tight catsuit in the flick for her role as the Black Widow — says her colleagues could rarely relieve themselves because of their heavy and complicated costumes. “You’re working with the stunt crew and they’re going through the craziest stuff so you feel bad about complaining that your knee has been blue for three months,” explains Scarlett. “The guys doing the stunts in those Iron Man suits, they can’t move in it and can’t take it off. “I’d say, ‘Have you peed today?’ and they’re like, ‘No, we can’t move, we can’t take it off, we can’t drink any water.’ I felt so sorry for them.”
Scarlett Johansson was “apprehensive” about doing charity work in Africa. The 25-year-old actress was nervous when she recently travelled to Rwanda to support several women’s charities – which help improve the lives of females in the poverty-hit region – because she had been warned she might be disturbed by what she saw. She said: “I had a bit of apprehension walking into the first hospital. But I soon realised you’re standing before people. They might be very ill but they’re just people like everyone else. Suddenly you’re not aware of how you’re feeling, how you’re going to look. If you let your guard down and stop being aware of yourself, you’re able to really connect with people.” During her work with charity Red, the blonde beauty was amazed by how positive the women she visited were and how strong their bond was with each other. She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine : “I’ve always found women have power in numbers. We draw strength from the support of other women.” The curvaceous actress has since posed in sexy animal-print outfits for a photo shoot in Harper’s Bazaar magazine to raise awareness of the cause.
Bollywood star John Abraham could share the screen space with either of the Hollywood stars Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway. Sirish Kunder, who is co-producing Alien Sahib along with his choreographer-cum-director wife Farah Khan, will meet both the stars in Los Angeles and sign up a deal. Sirish Kunder, apart from producing the film, will also wield the megaphone. Actress Scarlett Johansson was among guests at Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill’s wedding on Saturday, it’s been reported. Followill tied the knot with his singer girlfriend Jessie Baylin at a ceremony in Brentwood, Tennessee. Johansson attended the ceremony as a long-term friend of Baylin, while the drummer’s guests included family and friends. “The wedding was beautiful. It was a gorgeous, 70-degree day,” a source told Us magazine.
