Scarlett Johansson’s tattoo has a secret message. The screen beauty has a sunrise etched onto the inside of her left arm, but insists she will never reveal the special meaning of it. Scarlett – who is married to Ryan Reynolds – said: “I’ve had the tattoo of a sunrise on my arm for a while. It makes me happy when I look at it, but the reason I had it done is very personal. Some things have to remain private.” The 25-year-old actress loves experimenting with new looks and was thrilled when she had to dye her hair red for her role as a Russian spy in Iron Man 2 – in which she stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr. and Mickey Rourke. She added: “I play Black Widow in Iron Man 2 and I had to dye my hair red to audition, which I loved. When I met the producers the second time I still had red hair because I was hoping they’d cast me, but also because I was experimenting with my hair colour.”

Scarlett Johansson Likes Toy Treats

Scarlett Johansson buys kids’ meals when she eats out – because she likes to get a toy. The Iron Man 2 actress loves to occasionally treat herself to junk food and if she goes for a burger she makes sure she gets a toy with her meal. She said: “I love pizza with anything except pineapple or anchovies on the top. “I do like Burger King cheeseburger meals as well because I like the chargrilled taste, and I like the toy that comes with it.” Although Scarlett enjoys fast food, she generally eats very healthily and even has her own healthy low calorie cookie recipe. The 25-year-old star – who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds – said: “I am big on baking, but I bake very healthily these days. I make a protein cookie where I substitute all the fatty ingredients with healthy ones, such as coconut oil and egg whites. I may add carib chips instead of chocolate chips. If I have one of those during the day I don’t feel so guilty!”

Johansson Wants Black Widow Movie

Scarlett Johansson is keeping her “fingers crossed” moviegoers like her role in Iron Man 2 – because she is desperate to star in her own Black Widow spin-off. The blonde beauty takes on a villainous role in the upcoming superhero sequel opposite Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, playing Russian spy Natasha Romanoff – who doubles as the Black Widow. And although movie bosses currently have no plans to expand her character with a follow-up, Johansson is hoping public demand will see her revive her role for a second time. She tells Access Hollywood, “These movies are very fan driven so if the fans like my interpretation of the character, I would be happy to don the cat suit again and, you know, carry the torch. But there is no plan for anything like that. I know that Marvel is very behind this character so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.”

Role Model Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson loves being a role model. The Iron Man 2 actress – who plays secret agent Natalie Romanova and her alter ego Black Widow in the forthcoming superhero sequel – enjoyed getting the chance to play a strong female character and hopes the film is inspirational for young girls. Speaking about herself and Gwyneth Paltrow’s character Pepper Potts, Scarlett said: “These characters are strong, independent women that could function with or without the men in their lives. They run a smooth, efficient operation and are at the head of their game and I really attribute that to the director Jon Favreau’s appreciation for a strong lady. “It’s very exciting to be that kind of role model for young girls and for women to see that you don’t have to be the damsel in distress. “You can actually kick some a*s and look fabulous doing it.” As well as her on-screen persona, 25-year-old Scarlett – who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds – is viewed as a good role model off screen, thanks to her preference for a quiet life. She told US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “I do go out occasionally. I like to go out. I like to hear music and go out for dinners and stuff like that but I’m not really a party in the club kind of girl. “You know, it’s hard, particularly in this day and age, to kind of surprise your audience because they already know so much about you personally. So I try to avoid that kind of scene as much as possible.”

Scarlett Johansson’s Iron Struggle

Scarlett Johansson fought hard for her role in Iron Man 2. The 25-year-old actress – who plays sexy Russian spy Black Widow in the superhero movie – admitted she actively campaigned for the role after actress Emily Blunt dropped out because of scheduling conflicts. She said: “I was a huge fan of the first movie and was quite ‘geek-ed’ out at being part of the second one. I just wanted to be a part of Iron Man so I really researched the comic books and came in with some ideas of my own about how to develop the character. I see her as being determined and ambitious.” Scarlett was anxious to get the part because she was keen to “kick *ss” alongside her co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. She said: “I love everything about this character. She’s a total bada*s. I love every detail from her fabulous outfit to the wonderful hair. I mean, there’s nothing not to like about the character. She’s very bad and I think it’s rare that we get to see these sort of super heroines bought to the screen, where they’re really kicking some major a*s, which she does.”

Scarlett Johansson Loved Super Suit

Scarlett Johansson wanted to take her Iron Man 2 catsuit home. The actress – who plays undercover spy Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, in the comic book sequel – had to work out hard to fit into the sexy costume but got so much pleasure from wearing it she didn’t ever want to take it off. Scarlett – who is married to Ryan Reynolds – said: “One of the biggest motivators was when I first saw the Lycra catsuit. I was like, ‘If I gotta get into that thing, I better start now.’ The challenge was to get in the suit and believe it. “I wish I could have kept it afterwards but unfortunately it’s the property of Marvel so, after I took it off for the final time, I said, ‘Ta-ta for now. I love you! Hopefully I’ll see you in the future!’ ” The 25-year-old beauty took on a complex exercise regime and diet plan in order to squeeze into the skin-tight outfit but admitted it had been an “empowering experience”. She told The Independent newspaper: “I did a lot of weight training, mixed martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. When you’re working out that much you also have to feed your new body, so you eat in a different way, very clean, lots of omelette, turkey, stuff like that… It’s been an empowering experience which made me feel much stronger than I’ve ever felt before just because I built up so much strength.” Scarlett – who has previously spoken out against the pressure on actresses to be super skinny – would never want to lose too much weight because she loves having sexy curves. She added: “I don’t need to be skinny to be sexy. You’re never going to see me losing a whole bunch of weight. I’m not anxious to starve myself. For me, it’s not at all sexy to be ultra-thin.”
