Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine used their appearances at a Nobel Peace Concert to appeal to world leaders to find peace. According to the Daily Mail the pair hosted the concert, which included a performance from 64-year-old Diana Ross, marking former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari’s Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony. Johansson urged world powers to pay heed to Ahtisaari’s method of mediation as a means of ending conflict. The 24-year-old actress said: “It is important to remind young people that peace is the only real victory.” She added that mediation is the way forward: “…not the way that US has handled it the past two terms which is: ‘don’t discuss.’” Caine recalled his own experiences in conflict, as a child during the Second World War and as a soldier during the Korean War. He said: (that) “…is sort of the reason why I am here.”

Scarlett Johansson has revealed that Samuel L. Jackson used to borrow her make-up while they were on-set set of their latest movie. The pair star together in new film The Spirit. And Scarlett, 24, says the Hollywood legend is actually very vain, despite his macho image. She says, “Sam was always using my eyeliner pencils. “He always had a lot of make-up on. He would spend hours longer in the make-up room than me.”

Appearing at a photo call for new movie The Spirit, the newly-wed showed off her latest look, and seemed to have had a style makeover as well. Always one for a figure-hugging frock, the actress instead donned an understated baggy jacket, black trousers and some classic courts. Instantly sparking rumours that she might be pregnant, her rep quickly put an end to speculation telling E! News, ‘She is not pregnant.’

Scarlett Johansson continues the age old celebrity trend of political stomping as she shows up to support Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama in New York City on Thursday. The Obama Campaign avoided publicizing her appearance or involving her in the official program, but she spoke at a separate, small gathering to rally young voters. And it looks like it worked ?
