I want to wish all of you a merry christmas, great holidays and a happy new year! I decided to put this site on a little winter break. Don’t worry, we’re back in January 2009 with the latest on our favourite girl!
Newly married Scarlett Johansson, star of Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona, said: “I’ll be in New York for the holidays because New York’s the absolutely only place to spend Christmas – because my family is there. “This year will be the first with my husband, so it will be extra-special.”
Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine used their appearances at a Nobel Peace Concert to appeal to world leaders to find peace. According to the Daily Mail the pair hosted the concert, which included a performance from 64-year-old Diana Ross, marking former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari’s Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony. Johansson urged world powers to pay heed to Ahtisaari’s method of mediation as a means of ending conflict. The 24-year-old actress said: “It is important to remind young people that peace is the only real victory.” She added that mediation is the way forward: “…not the way that US has handled it the past two terms which is: ‘don’t discuss.’” Caine recalled his own experiences in conflict, as a child during the Second World War and as a soldier during the Korean War. He said: (that) “…is sort of the reason why I am here.”
Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has broken her silence about her married life, saying “this is a very beautiful time for me.” The Black Dahlia actress, who married Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds in September this year, revealed after getting married, the couple is gradually evolving together. “This is a very beautiful time for me. Getting married is a huge moment in anyone’s life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy,” Us Weekly quoted Johansson, as saying. “But Ryan and I are in love, and we’re enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction,” she added. Johansson, who has dated Jared Leto and Josh Harnett, admitted that before meeting Reynolds she was ‘in situations where a guy hasn’t been into me’. “It’s either they don’t want to commit or put in the effort, or they’re too involved in their own thing, you don’t always meet the right person at the right time, and I think it’s important for people to figure out their own lives before involving someone else – to gauge where you are and work on your own issues,” Johansson said. “Reynolds has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that made us happy – for me, that’s what romance is all about,” she added.
Scarlett Johansson has revealed that Samuel L. Jackson used to borrow her make-up while they were on-set set of their latest movie. The pair star together in new film The Spirit. And Scarlett, 24, says the Hollywood legend is actually very vain, despite his macho image. She says, “Sam was always using my eyeliner pencils. “He always had a lot of make-up on. He would spend hours longer in the make-up room than me.”
Newlywed Scarlett Johansson revealed that all she wants for Christmas from Canadian actor hubby Ryan Reynolds is a ticket to Barack Obama’s Inaugural Ball next year. But with tickets changing hands on eBay for £50,000 plus, it will be a tough gift to deliver. The Spirit star Scarlett revealed: “I’m so excited about that ball and about politics – 2009 will be an amazing year.” Meanwhile, the actress was spotted at the London premiere of film The Spirit but she reportedly snubs fans. The stunning star swanned past fans who had been waiting for hours, refusing to pose for pics. Inside she chucked a brown mac over her dress and sulked in the VIP area for 15 minutes before legging it out the back to George Clooney’s party across town.
Scarlett Johansson has ditched her signature platinum locks, and dyed her hair brunette. Appearing at a photo call for new movie The Spirit, the newly-wed showed off her latest look, and seemed to have had a style makeover as well. Always one for a figure-hugging frock, the actress instead donned an understated baggy jacket, black trousers and some classic courts. Instantly sparking rumours that she might be pregnant, her rep quickly put an end to speculation telling E! News, ‘She is not pregnant.’
Actress Scarlett Johansson Actress is still shocked over the vulgar remarks Lindsay Lohan allegedly scribbled about her by on a New York City bathroom stall – because she barely knows her. The Mean Girls star reportedly wrote “Scarlett is a bloody c**t” with permanent marker before making her exit during a night out in 2006. And Johansson is still baffled by the graffiti, since the two actresses have only met a handful of times. She tells Allure magazine, “I don’t know what the motivation was. I remember it was something really vulgar – I mean shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’ “I don’t really know that person (Lohan). I only met her, like, three times.”
