Just because it’s work doesn’t mean it can’t be fun; especially if it involves starring alongside a handsome Spanish movie hunk in a film presided over by your favourite director. It was little wonder then that Scarlett Johansson was full of joie de vivre as she got to work filming Woody Allen’s as yet untitled Spanish project with Javier Bardem in Barcelona this week. Scarlett – who sports her typical blonde bombshell look in the film – plays an American tourist who falls for a painter, played by Collateral actor Javier. And if their off-screen interaction is anything to go by, the on-screen romance is sure to be convincing. The pair were clearly more than comfortable in each other’s company, with Javier at one point putting his arm around Scarlett’s shoulders as the pair shared a joke together. [SOURCE]
Despite circulating reports and Jenna Jameson’s hopes that the actress is just the right mix of sexy and mysterious, Scarlett Johansson will not portray the porn star in the film adaptation of her autobiography. “Scarlett has never seen a script nor been approached about this project,” says a rep for the actress. “She also has no interest in playing this role.” Speaking with PEOPLE at the Comic Con convention in San Diego this weekend, Jameson, 33, said she was smitten with the 22-year-old Johansson after seeing her Golden Globe-nominated turn in the 2003 film Lost in Translation. “I remember thinking to myself, this girl has such a sexuality without even really trying to be sexy,” Jameson said. “I was like, ‘This girl could play me.’ ” [SOURCE]

Hollywood beauty Scarlett Johansson has landed the lead role in the x-rated biopic of the world’s biggest porn star. The 22-year-old was personally picked by Jenna Jameson to chart her transformation from ballet dancer to stripper, before making it big in the adult film industry. Jameson says of her casting, “I tapped up Scarlett for the part and I’m very excited about the film. “It was my decision not to play the role because I’ve lived that tale already and anyone can play themselves.” The movie will be based on Jameson’s bestselling autobiography, How To Make Love Like A Porn Star.” [SOURCE]

Actress Scarlett Johansson has bought herself a mansion in the Hollywood Hills for a whopping 8 million dollars. The 22-year-old purchased the pad in posh Los Angeles area from filmmaker Harold Becker. According to a source, the spacious property that has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms spans over a huge area. “It’s a gigantic property. The place spans over 4.352 square feet,” Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying. Hollywood Hills is home to many young stars including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Tom Leykis, Rob Dyrdek, and Chris Boykin. [SOURCE]

Scarlett Johansson has become the latest celebrity to join Oxfam’s Global Ambassador program. She joined following a trip to India and Sri Lanka with Oxfam where she visited a school for girls, and survivors of the tsunami. She joins an influential group of international artists and public figures including Colin Firth, Gael Garcia Bernal and Dame Helen Mirren. “I want to be a part of the great work that Oxfam is doing, and am glad that by being an Ambassador I can continue to be involved with the organization,” said Johansson. “Once you’ve met amazing people like the Dalit girls I met on my trip you just can’t turn your back. I was shocked by a lot of what I saw, but seeing the fantastic work Oxfam was doing I also felt that there was hope.”
